About our R9 Youth
Promote the interests of the Arabian Horse Youth
Some of our very own Region 9 Youth members were instrumental in adding 18 to the 14-18 yr age group to Youth Nationals. This is just one example of how our youth have consistently made a mark on the national stage.
Develop Good Leaders
Region 9 Youth learn Robert's Rules of Order through participating in organized meetings. The Director represents R9 as an AHYA Board Member. Furthermore, R9 youth attend AHYA Convention as delegates at Youth Nationals. Throughout history, Region 9 is notorious for bringing the most delegates than any other region. Also, Region 9 Youth learn how to present ideas and communicate them to the adult board and delegate base.
Youth Activities & Charitable endeavors
Not only do the R9 youth fundraise for youth activities on the local, regional, and national levels; but also organize and donate funds to AHDF, scholarship foundations, Ryan Melendez foundation, and so much more!
